Chinese Yuan ETF

There are currently two Chinese currency ETFs that trade on US exchanges. The WisdomTree Dreyfus Chinese Yuan ETF is sponsored by WisdomTree and it trades on the NYSE Arca exchange under symbol (CYB). It is sub-advised by the Dreyfus Corporation.

The other Chinese Yuan ETF is an ETN or exchange traded note, and it is the Market Vectors Renminbi/USD ETN sponsored by VanEck Global and is part of the Market Vectors family of ETFs and ETNs. The ETN is issued by Morgan Stanley. It trades on the NYSE Arca exchange under symbol CNY. It is important to note that the term Chinese Yuan and Renminbi are used interchangeably to refer to Chinese currency much like the Pound and Sterling are used to refer to British currency.
